WEEK 2 - 1980's GLAM MAKEUP TUTORIAL

80s Glam inspired by Betsey Johnson's Fall 2014 'Hot' Collection

This week's Vintage On Trend has been so much fun! The catwalk look from Betsey Johnson's 'Hot' Collection was definitely 80s inspired, so that made my decision easy re which decade to channel this week.

The 80s were very glam in a lot of ways. Metallics, sequins, big bling, even bigger hair and bright makeup, so it was such a fun decade to recreate. Although I haven't gone for a strictly vintage 80s look, my makeup is definitely vintage inspired. You can see by these pics just how 80s Betsey's look was, even down to the earrings!

I decided to showcase Lush's Emotional Brilliance makeup range today. They have a range of vegan makeup products that a lot of people have still never heard about which is a shame, as they are really quite lovely. The idea behind the coloured products is that the colours evoke certain emotions and that's how they got their names ie 'Calm' is a pale blue and 'Strong' is a bright red. I've used the following Lush products in my tutorial today.

Also used were **Benefit Magic Ink Eyeliner in 'Jet Black' and **Benefit 'Bella Bamba' blush

** I have found out after shooting the makeup tutorial video that Benefit may actually be testing on animals because they are selling in China, so I am looking into this because it is so worrying. This is why I have edited out the product names in my video. I am a very strong advocate for no animal testing, so if it is confirmed that Benefit are testing I will no longer be using their products for any of my tutorials **
